... where all the FE characters are pokémon trainers. It would be the most glorious thing in the history of video gaming.

So I planned out the Elite Four and some of the gym leaders... and then I made this thing. (Which, by the way, took forever)

The E4 would be as follows:

Alvis (Jugdral) - [Fire]: this is mostly based on potential chessmaster-ness. Because clearly pokémon = chess. It's a nice comparison. Obviously Alvis would is good at mindgames, and therefore, good at pokémon! So I picked Alvis as the Jugdral representative. (I would write more, but I don't really feel at home with Jugdral, so.) The reasoning behind his type preference is also pretty obvious.
Lute (Magvel) - [Psychic]: okay, so I considered Innes for this spot, but eventually Lute won out ~~because I like her a lot~~. Innes gets to be a steel-type Gym Leader instead. Or something. Rather unsurprisingly, I've once again picked a character based on their intelligence, because that's what pokémon is all about! Lute is obviously the kind of person who would memorize movesets and statistics until she knew every single thing about the game. And since pokémon wouldn't actually require her to really move around herself, she could keep reading books during battles. Only stopping to occasionally give out orders. Which is why she's not really trying too hard to become the champion. Reading - and then experimenting by using her new-found knowledge during the battle - is more fun. Being an E4 member gives her a lot of opportunities for experiments, obv. As for the type - it's partly based on the color of her hair/skirt, and partly on the fact that she reminds me a little bit of Lucian (E4 members, purple hair, read a lot etc).
Soren (Tellius) - [Dark]: admittedly Bastian would have been another logical choice, but in the end I went with Soren ~~because I like him a lot~~. I mean. If it weren't for Ike he could probably have taken over the world or something. His potential chessmaster level is just ridiculously high. Obviously, the problem with making Soren an E4 member is that he wouldn't accept the position unless it helped Ike out somehow (though I'm sure there's some way of making that happen), so I don't really have an excuse for this (yet) orz and that's not even mentioning the problem of him not being the ~~champion~~ very best. Um. Lol this is why I'm not a writer. His preferred type is easily explainable. His affinity is dark. (I'm so original!)
Marth (Archanea) - [Water]: to be honest I know very little about Archanea, but I sort of wanted this imaginary nonexistent game to build up to Marth being the champion in classic pokémon fashion and then PLOT TWIST - he's not the champion at all. I just like nonsensical plot twists. I'm sorry. Glancing through SD's script, I can't necessarily say I would associate him with water personality-wise, but I'm not sure what type he'd use otherwise, so I think I'm going to be boring and base this on his hair color. (But he does seem like a fairly interesting character - I really need to play SD sometime.)

As for the actual champion... that would be Serra. Yes. Serra. Nobody really knows how she managed to become the champion, but somehow she did. After many, many tries. ~~A lot of luck was most likely involved~~. Because Hector promised he would give her a few dozen vassals if she actually managed to hold the position for longer than a few days. Jokingly. But Serra took it seriously anyway. Unfortunately, the fight against the main character (who is Mark for males or Female!MU for females) takes place immediately after she becomes the champion, so. In any case, I'd imagine that Serra is quite a bit more intelligent than she usually lets on, too. In my mind, she would use mostly normal types with as annoying movesets as possible - so a Togekiss with Thunder Wave, Attract and Air Slash (paired with Serene Grace) is a must. She also has a Wigglytuff for spamming Sing. Would be the hardest E4 member to beat in any pokémon game, no doubt.

This entire post is proof that I have no life whatsoever, isn't it :) (I just like thinking about video games I can't help it)
